COLT SAA 1ST GENERATION BISLEY IN .32 WCF CALIBER & 5 1/2 INCH BARREL. 119 YEARS OLD!!
A Colt 1ST Generation SAA Bisley in .32 WCF with a 5 ½ inch barrel built 119 years ago! Manufactured in 1904, this wonderful Bisley has the one line Hartford address on the top of the blued barrel, with "(BISLEY MODEL) 32 W.C.F." on the left side, and the two line, three patent dates stamped on the left side of the frame, followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the frame, trigger guard and back strap with the assembly number "1006" on the loading gate. This Bisley has the Colt blue finish with casehardened frame and hammer. The barrel has a blade front sight and the frame incorporates notch rear sights. The frame is fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top. Colt manufactured approximately 44,350 Bisley revolvers from 1894 to 1915. This Bisley is in fine condition overall. The revolver retains 75% plus original blue finish with scattered flaking and thinning, showing a smooth brown patina on the balance. The right side of the frame shows traces of the original casehardened pattern and traces of the original case colors with a smooth brown patina on the balance. The grips are excellent with a few very minor dings and handling marks, and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. SN 259307
